I’m a teacher, philosopher, accidental activist, and mother, but si pudiera ser superheroe, my cape would read:
“Defender of Dark Moods.”
As long as I live in a world where people apologize for crying in public, I will write books and essays on why complaining is good, why cheerfulness isn’t, and why Mister Rogers was rightthat “everyone has lots of ways of feeling and all of those feelings are fine.” You can find my work at The New York Times, New Philosopher, Womankind, and other places.
Check out what drives me nuts on Instagram. I post erratically because I think social media is not great for us. Ocassionally I send out a newsletter called In the Cave. Sign up if you want to hear from me.
